The Smiling Stranger In Bremen is a 2CD release of a concert originally recorded by Radio Bremen on 10 June 1983 at the Schauburg.

John is accompanied by Alan Thomson on bass and keyboards, and Jeff Allen on drums. A staggered release schedule of 27 January in Europe and 10 February in USA. The UK release date was changed on numerous occasions before eventual release on 10 March.

An excellent full concert band performance from the Philentropy period punctuated by a four song solo acoustic set from John, superb sound quality throughout.
