John Giblin – 26 February 1952 to 14 May 2023.
We are deeply saddened to learn that accomplished electric bass guitarist and double bass player John Giblin passed away yesterday in Cheltenham.
John played with countless artists covering a wide range of musical genres, including Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Jon Anderson, George Martin, David Sylvian, Sting, Brand X, Brian Eno, Phil Collins, Kate Bush and of course John Martyn.
Our sincere condolences and thoughts are with John’s family, friends and fellow musicians.
